Extract from Abraham Lincoln National Historical Park, Kentucky Thomas Lincoln presumably lived with his mother in Washington Canton until most 1798, when it is thought he made a trip to Tennessee and lived with an uncle for well-nigh 1 twelvemonth, returning to Kentucky virtually 1800 and taking up residence in Elizabethtown, the county seat of the then Hardin County.
